This is a process…not so much making-over the patio…but, making myself do it in this heat! I am glad to have had an indoor project sewing cushion covers this past weekend. I finished 2 chair cushions, but still have 2 more to go.
DIY glitch, ha, my fabric for the other 2 cushions will arrive later this week, via UPS — did I mention I bought the last of a fabric bolt and found out later that the fabric is discontinued??
I had to control myself, I had already fallen in love with the two cushions that I spent two days making. No worries the salesman found more fabric that could be shipped to me.
If you missed last week’s Post, Part One, DIY Simple Patio Makeover, you can see it HERE.
Part 2 Patio Replace & Refresh
I couldn’t be luckier that this new (sewing) timetable coincides with a drop in temperature,
so today I was able to go outside to clear the patios of junk, wash off all the surfaces and even give some pieces a fresh coat of paint.
The Captain set up a new umbrella for me. I have been waiting for the end-of-season sales that hit this week, so I grabbed this umbrella, today, with hardly a thought. It is made of outdoor fabric so I don’t think the navy color will turn purple or white like navy cotton canvas does. We’ll see.
Here is the line up of wall-hugging furniture, ready to be moved around tomorrow.
Did you notice I moved the vintage door that was hiding under a rain tarp in last week’s post? That DIY motivates me to scramble to get this patio ready for its debut. The Captain keeps reminding me that if there is
a door something I want to get rid of he will put it at the side yard for the next city trash pickup. (Smile) No thanks.
Check in later for part 3 – my summer patio Ready to Party, REVEAL!
