2017 Easter Tablescape

My Inspiration for this year’s Easter Tablescape came from the colors in, of all thingsWallpaper! I bought 2 rolls of wallpaper at a recent Yard Sale, a cast-off donation from my Travel Buddy. It was a bit of a surprise when I unrolled the wallpaper onto our dining table and it looked so cheery just laying there! I trimmed the wallpaper to 18-inch wide strips to make table runners that set the Mood for a Spring tablescape for my Easter Brunch.

I loved how the wallpaper runners naturally curl under the table edge. The wallpaper’s Orange & Green color combination is a playful hint of carrots, a hint of the leaping bunnies & Peter Cottontail sprinkled throughout this year’s decorations. The Mood of the tablescape is a subtle “garden rabbit patch” with seed packet favors and bunny place cards peering from behind carrot-colored napkins.

Easter Tablescape…

An individual-sized carafe will be filled with Ramos Fizz, frothy citrus rum (or gin) cocktail, to keep the party going.

Do you see the DIY Decoupage Easter Eggs?

For a kid’s place setting, I switched the plate to green and added carrot-shaped Bubbles and a pack of Cabbage Seeds.

Create easy-to-make “garden look” candle holders and serving trays by stacking (no glue needed) various sizes & shapes of terracotta plant pots & drip saucers…

My Easter tablescape is gathered affordable items mixed with others I already had at the lake cottage, that it what makes this tablescape a FAVORITE.

It’s cheery, charming, and so Simply affordable to use pretty wallpaper or gift wrapping paper – I hope this Inspires you to create an Easter tablescape this year!

  1. This is such a happy, cheery setting. Just makes you smile and look forward to an enjoyable feast. Great use and mix of what you already have.

  2. No, I had the orange and green plates purchased years ago at local grocery store. I see similar plates there and at dollar stores. Always a good “buy” to have 6 in those colors because they fit multi seasons.
